His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, directed the organization of a mass wedding for 50 grooms from the Al Dhafra region, as part of the country's celebrations of the "Fiftieth Year".
His Highness said that "after 50 days, the state will celebrate the 50th National Day, in which we remember the late father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, and his brothers the founding leaders, who laid the foundations for building our modern state, and their efforts in uniting it, and raising the banner of its flag high among the nations." A day when we remember a record full of achievements and successes that seemed impossible to reach, and would not have been achieved without the patience, determination, determination and will of the people of the Emirates.”
His Highness stressed that the "Fiftieth Year" represents a new start towards the promising future that awaits the UAE, and it will be a new beginning for a future full of achievements and ambitions, and achieving goals that have become more clear.
His Highness pointed out that the UAE has become an integrated model for a modern and successful state in all fields, thanks to the wisdom and vision of its leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
This came when His Highness received citizens at Mezaira'a Palace in the city of Liwa, in the presence of a number of senior officials in government agencies.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: "The people of the country have proven that they are up to the responsibility entrusted to them. Our trust and hope in them are great, and the UAE needs them to make more giving and double effort to continue the success and progress of this country."
His Highness added that "the year of the fiftieth" is a milestone in the history of the UAE, and will witness the launch of the largest national action strategy of its kind to prepare for a pioneering development phase in all vital sectors, noting that the second of December will remain a solid day in the memory of the nation, and an occasion dear to the hearts of all citizens. The state and the residents on its good land, in which everyone expresses their joy and pride in a march full of achievements that covered all sectors.
His Highness said: "Despite the difficult circumstances the world is witnessing as a result of the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), the UAE has succeeded, as usual, in transforming challenges into opportunities for creativity and development, and has succeeded in achieving major achievements during the last period, which included the launch of the (Hope Probe). The inauguration of the two Barakah peaceful nuclear energy plants, the launch of the (Expo 2020 Dubai) exhibition, and other various activities and events.
