A 51-year-old tennis teacher from the Arcachon club in Gironde was indicted for "rape and sexual assault on minors under 15" in early September, the Bordeaux prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday evening.
The facts would have occurred "between 2008 and 2009" on young boys, indicates the prosecution, confirming information from Sud-Ouest and France Bleu.
The alleged victims were on vacation in the Arcachon Basin at the time of the events, and recently lodged three complaints in Paris, leading to the opening of the procedure by the family protection brigade (ex-brigade of minors) of the Capital. .
Arrested at the beginning of September, the man was placed under judicial supervision and is also under investigation for “corruption of minors”.
His activity as a tennis teacher was suspended by the Gironde prefecture, and his license withdrawn.
He has not given lessons since the start of the school year.
