The Head of State travels to several cities in Ile-de-France on Thursday to defend his sports policy at the end of the five-year term.

In particular, it should announce the funding of local facilities in areas less well endowed in this area, with the construction by 2024 of 5,000 places dedicated to the practice.

DECRYPTION

The President of the Republic will spend a day under the sign of sport, Thursday, with several announcements on the program. Emmanuel Macron, who will play a football match with the Variétés Club de France at the end of the day in Poissy, for the benefit of the Yellow Pieces, travels Thursday morning to Seine-Saint-Denis, land of the Olympic Games. The Head of State will visit the site of the Olympic village in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, as well as the headquarters of the Organizing Committee. He will be accompanied by Jean Castex and six ministers or deputy ministers.

But the President's day will begin in Tremblay-en-France, with a visit to a brand new city-stadium, a perfect example of the policy he wants to put in place.

The tenant of the Élysée wants to take advantage of the Olympic Games in France to develop the culture of sport, both in practice and in infrastructure.

An envelope of 250 million euros

Until now, the state has mainly financed large facilities: gymnasium, stadium, etc. Now, Emmanuel Macron is betting on local sports facilities, even within the neighborhoods. For this, the Head of State will release an envelope of 250 million euros. New funds, allocated to the National Sports Agency, to build 5,000 places dedicated to sports by 2024. City stadiums (1,000), dojos (1,000), tennis / padel courts (500), basketball courts (500), with the desire to develop the 3 against 3, which was all the rage at the Tokyo Games, or even skate parks (500).

The State will finance up to 50% of the construction or requalification of this equipment.

A rate that could climb to 80%, or even 100% in Overseas.

The "deficient territories" in sports equipment will obviously be privileged, starting with Seine-Saint-Denis, where the President will be on Thursday morning, and Marseille, where he will be Friday and Saturday.
