Senegalese President: Expo 2020 Dubai is a global gathering that contributes to spreading peace and coexistence

Macky Sall, President of the friendly Republic of Senegal, today inaugurated his country's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, while attending the celebration of Senegal's National Day, which witnessed many artistic and cultural events that reflect the rich heritage of Senegal, on the sidelines of his attendance of the sixth session of the "Global African Business Forum".

The President of Senegal said: "Expo 2020 Dubai represents a global gathering of nations, which contributes to spreading peace, dialogue and coexistence among different cultures and civilizations, which is what people need to live in peace, understanding and respect with each other, while being keen on exchanging experiences gained among them to achieve further development. Progress and prosperity, while preserving the environment, are the values ​​represented by Senegal's participation in this international event."

For his part, Jas Kemm, Director of the Senegalese Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: "During the activities of our celebration of Senegal's National Day, the President was briefed on many exhibits offered by our pavilion, including a miniature model of the express train, which is one of the fastest trains in West Africa, and listened to a detailed explanation. About the contents of the exhibition, and its various collections and exhibits, especially crafts and traditional clothes, and the exhibition accompanying the celebration was opened, which included many cultural and heritage events that reflect our rich local culture.”
