"Precise descriptions" of their family: in Essonne, police officers targeted by tags

"We just can't get used to"

"I am shocked, but unfortunately used to it. I remind you that during the weekend, in Vendôme, in the Loir-et-Cher, there were the same kind of tags, with intimidation and threats. to the family, ”he explained. "It's so recurring. We denounce it so much. It's the anti-cop hatred that is spreading more and more. We just can't get used to this kind of thing."

For Grégory Joron, the police have already redoubled their vigilance: "All the police officers are very careful and ask their children not to designate the profession of the father or the mother if it is a police officer. Many make three rounds of roundabouts to be careful not to be followed. It is the recurrence that is worrying, since it has become fashionable today and all the districts display the names of my colleagues on their wall. "

Anonymization of police officers?

The targeting of police officers by offenders is regularly in the crosshairs of police unions, which demand an advance in legislation on this issue to respond to the increase in threats.

"This is part of the arguments that we put forward when we defended article 24 of the proposed law (on global security, editor's note). There is also a simple thing, which should be extended to all world, it is the anonymization of the police officers in the procedures, whatever the act ", defends Grégory Joron.
