50 Innovative and Creative Ways to Celebrate the 50th National Day

The Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee announced the start of the countdown to the fiftieth National Day celebrations for the UAE on the second of next December.

The committee invited everyone who considers the UAE their homeland to participate in the celebrations.

For the first time in the history of the UAE, the National Day celebrations begin fifty days before the expected date on the second of December.

The initiative, which bears the slogan "Fifty Days for Fifty", invites everyone to participate in the celebrations through a series of activations and activities that will be published on a daily basis on the social media platforms of the UAE National Day @OfficialUAEND.

The celebration methods include many activities, including visiting tourist areas and destinations, discovering new places throughout the country, performing the national anthem of the country, sharing pictures of different sites in the country that represent a special memory for them, in addition to participating in the celebrations that precede the National Day with their friends and families.

The initiative invites everyone to celebrate and share their experiences by using the hashtag #50th_Celebrations

Sheikha Al Ketbi, Director of Creative Strategy for the Year of Fifty, said: “We are proud to celebrate the achievements of the UAE over the past fifty years, and note and commend them, as the culmination of an exceptional year.

The land of the Emirates embraces with its citizens more than 200 nationalities, and we invite everyone to celebrate and learn more about the traditions and customs that make our society, and to participate in our daily activities in the period leading up to the official celebration of the fiftieth National Day.”

The Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee also invites all government agencies, companies, schools and institutions to participate in their own events over the next 50 days.

It is noteworthy that the official celebration of the National Day of the State will be held on the second of next December, and more details will be announced in this regard soon.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, announced the designation of the year 2021 as “the year of the fiftieth”, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the state in 1971.
