China News Service, Beijing, October 12th. On the 12th, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi delivered a speech at a high-level meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Wang Yi congratulated the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, saying that the Non-Aligned Movement has become a banner of unity and self-reliance for developing countries and an indispensable force in international affairs.

Looking forward to the third decade of the 21st century, developing countries need to be more independent, and firmly control the future and destiny of their countries; they need more solidarity and cooperation to promote the development of the global governance system in a more equitable and reasonable direction.

Wang Yi said that China is a natural partner of the Non-Aligned Movement, and it has always shared a common destiny with the vast number of developing countries, provided political support to developing countries, offered aid economically, and spoke out internationally and would continue to work with developing countries. Heart-to-heart, shoulder to shoulder, uphold the correct view of justice and benefit, and promote the formation of a new situation of joint progress and common development.

Wang Yi said that at present, the changes in a century and the epidemic of the century are superimposed on resonance, and the unstable and uncertain factors in the international situation are prominent.

We should meet the challenges together, overcome the difficulties together, and jointly create an international environment that is beneficial to developing countries.

China is willing to work with members of the Non-Aligned Movement:

One is to continue to be a contributor to global development.

Development is the key to achieving people's happiness.

When attending the general debate of the 76th UN General Assembly, President Xi Jinping solemnly proposed the "Global Development Initiative" to promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, achieve stronger, greener, and healthy global development, and build a community with a shared future for global development.

Members of the Non-Aligned Movement are welcome to actively support and participate.

The second is to continue to be an advocate of a new type of international relations.

Engaging in hegemonism and power politics did not work 60 years ago, and it does not work even today.

Countries, big or small, strong or weak, rich or poor, are equal, and must respect each other's sovereignty and independent development path, dialogue and not confrontation, and partnership but not alliance.

In international affairs, we must demonstrate fairness and justice, listen to the voices of developing countries, and safeguard the interests of developing countries.

In the face of global challenges, all countries should uphold a common destiny, share responsibilities, and achieve win-win cooperation.

The third is to continue to be a practitioner of multilateralism.

Multilateralism is not an option, but a must.

We must practice true multilateralism, safeguard the status and role of the United Nations, abandon the Cold War mentality, and refrain from engaging in small circles of ideology and geographical contention; we must maintain the authority of international law and international order, and not impose the will and so-called rules of a few countries To others; we must uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, adhere to extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and increase the representation and voice of developing countries in international affairs.

The fourth is to continue to be a model of international cooperation.

Under the new situation, it is necessary to enrich the connotation of South-South cooperation, strengthen dialogue and exchanges among developing countries on state governance, intensify communication and coordination on major international and regional issues, and continuously strengthen the world's bright and progressive forces.

Wang Yi emphasized that China will continue to support the cause of the Non-Aligned Movement, strengthen cooperation with the Non-Aligned Movement, jointly write a new chapter in the joint self-reliance of developing countries, and continue to make new contributions to the cause of world peace and development.

The high-level meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, from October 11 to 12. It was jointly organized by Serbia and Azerbaijan.

The Non-Aligned Movement was founded in 1961 and currently has 120 member states, mainly developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

China became an observer country of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1992.
