According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced recently that the Russian Federal Government is still reviewing the list of countries that will resume navigation with Russia. Foreign citizens who have been legally residing in Russia before, including 2021 Foreign citizens who have obtained legal residency status before September 30, 2010 will continue to suspend the calculation of visa (short stay/long stay) period and do not need to apply for extension.

  According to Presidential Decree No. 364 of June 15, 2021, Chinese citizens who meet the following two types of conditions can continue to stay legally in Russia until 90 days after the resumption of air services between China and Russia:

  1. Those whose visas expire after March 15, 2020;

  2. Those whose visas expire before March 15, 2020, but have obtained legal residence status (visa) before September 30, 2021.

  The embassy in Russia reminded Chinese citizens in Russia to arrange their itineraries reasonably according to their own circumstances to avoid illegal stay.
