Mohammed bin Rashid approves the federal budget until 2026, with a total of 290 billion dirhams

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired today a cabinet meeting at the Emirates Pavilion at the Expo, and His Highness approved the federal budget until 2026 with a total of 290 billion dirhams.
His Highness affirmed that the UAE is entering the new 50 federation with confidence, optimism and global aspirations.
His Highness said through his official account on "Twitter": "Today I chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the Emirates Pavilion at the Expo.. an exceptional pavilion under the supervision of the creative Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Zayed.. During the meeting, we decided the budget of the union until 2026, with a total of 290 billion dirhams.. We enter the federal fiftieth." With confidence, optimism and global aspirations.”
The Council of Ministers, headed by His Highness, also approved the new methodology for government work for the coming period. His Highness said: "Today we decided in the Council of Ministers at the Expo the new methodology for government work for the coming period... a faster government that depends on implementation courses for transformational projects through sectoral work teams... Our work will not be based on ministries." Individuals, but strategic sectors.. Plans and agendas will not be the measure, but projects and field initiatives.”
His Highness explained: "The adoption of the federal budget today... and the adoption of the new methodology for government work... is a message that we are heading towards greater, better and more beautiful federal years, God willing... and renewal is the year of life... and renewal is the secret of the UAE's superiority...".
His Highness also approved within the Cabinet the appointment of Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Chairman of the Federation's General Budget Committee and Chairman of the Federal Tax Authority, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the UAE-Saudi Coordination Council, and Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi as Chairman of the Judicial Coordination Council.
His Highness also approved the appointment of Muhammad bin Hadi Al Husseini as Chairman of the General Pension and Social Security Authority and Chairman of the Union Export Credit Company, and Ahmed Belhoul as President of the Higher Colleges of Technology.

His Highness also approved the establishment of the Emirates Infrastructure and Housing Council headed by Suhail Al Mazrouei. His Highness pointed out that the goal is to unify federal and local housing efforts.. and consolidate coordination with regard to road and infrastructure projects.. and build an urban and housing road map for the United Arab Emirates.
His Highness also approved, during the Cabinet meeting, the adoption of cyber security standards for government agencies and those proposed by the Emirates Cyber Security Council, stressing that our borders in cyberspace are sovereign borders that we always need to protect and consolidate their defenses.
