A 15-year-old teenager, living in Auch in the Gers, was placed in a closed educational center on Monday for having assaulted his mother.

According to

, it was the mother herself who called the police shortly before midnight on Sunday evening after an argument.

She had tried to prevent the 15-year-old from taking the family car for a night drive into town.

The teenager hadn't hesitated to kick him to grab the keys.

The police stopped the boy in front of his home after he had already started to reverse to leave the scene.

He tried to escape on foot but was quickly caught up and taken into custody.
