A worker died after a fall on the Club Med construction site in Tignes

The Club Med construction site, located in Tignes Val-Claret (Savoie), was the scene of a dramatic accident on Tuesday morning.

The gendarmes of the PGHM of Modane, the firefighters of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, as well as a doctor of Smur indeed had to intervene shortly after 10 am, as revealed by

This rescue operation was triggered by the fall of two workers working on this 8,000 m2 site, from a scaffolding of about fifteen meters.

One of them died, after having landed on a concrete slab, while the second was seriously injured.

After starting in April, the construction of this 30-meter-high building dedicated to Club Med should continue until the fall of 2022.
