On October 10, local time, a car bomb attack on a convoy of senior government officials occurred in the port city of Aden in southern Yemen.

The target of the attack was the motorcade of Ahmed Ramlas, Governor of Aden Province, and Salim Sugartri, Minister of Agriculture.

The officers in the convoy were not injured, but five security personnel were killed in the explosion and many others were injured.

No organization has claimed to have caused this attack.

Some officials said that the "Al Qaeda" organization on the Arabian Peninsula often uses explosive devices to assassinate officials of the Yemeni government and security services.

In recent years, the civil war in Yemen has led to chaos in the domestic situation. The Arabian Peninsula branch of the "Al-Qaida" organization and the extremist organization "Islamic State" have been active in Yemen frequently and have carried out many terrorist attacks.
