The story of a man in his 50s who became a millionaire after his son accidentally went to wash clothes that was dirty is a hot topic.

On the 7th local time, UPI news agency reported that a 51-year-old man living in Prince Georges County, Maryland, won the $1 million (about 1.2 billion won) lottery.

According to the report, Mr. A was driving with his son after school was over, and belatedly found his son's fleece jacket stuck in the car door.

A's son's clothes were dragged on the road and soiled a lot.

Mr. A and his son went to the nearest laundromat to drop off clothes, then stopped by a liquor store in the same shopping center and bought a lottery ticket worth 2 dollars (about 2,400 won).

After returning home, Mr. A placed the lottery ticket on the shelf, and after a week, he checked the winning number on his cell phone.

Mr. A recalled that time, "I stumbled backwards when I found out that I had won the lottery."

Mr. A, who became the owner of the $1 million, said he plans to use the winnings to support his family, such as saving his children's college tuition, and to go on vacation.

This is a 'news pick'.
