During the night from Saturday to Sunday, help was called to take care of a 56-year-old woman, lifeless in the parking lot of the Intermarché de Fronton, north of Toulouse, and who was in serious condition.

An employee of the supermarket, she had participated with other colleagues in an evening organized by her management.

Transferred to Purpan Hospital, she died of her injuries.

According to the first elements of the investigation of the gendarmerie, the fifty-something would have fallen to the ground and would have been accidentally struck by the car of a colleague with whom she had left the evening.

It is the latter who would have called the firefighters.

When the gendarmerie and emergency services arrived on site, the circumstances of the tragedy were not established.

The 38-year-old driver was therefore arrested later in the day.

Brought before a judge

During the evening, the man had consumed alcohol, and traces of narcotics were detected in his body.

Placed in police custody, according to the Toulouse prosecutor's office, he was brought before a judge with a view to opening a judicial investigation for manslaughter aggravated by the use of alcohol and narcotics.
