After the opening of Dubai Hospital in the mid-1980s, the (Orthopedic Department) moved there and Kazem was the head of the department until he retired in 2004.
The deceased had received several awards of appreciation for being the first Emirati doctor, and for his efforts in serving and treating people.
The late Kazim was awarded the UAE Pioneer Medal, and was honored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
