On October 9, local time, nearly three weeks after the eruption, new cracks appeared in the old Cumbre volcano on La Palma Island in Spain. A stream of magma poured down from the hillside and poured into an industrial park.

  Stavros Meletlidis, a volcanologist at the National Geographic Institute of Spain, told the National Radio of Spain that the cone of the volcano appeared to have partially collapsed and two streams of magma were gushing out; one stream followed the earlier path, the other Shares open up new paths.

  The National Geographic Institute of Spain recorded 37 earthquakes on La Palma that day, the strongest of which was 4.1.

  The eruption of Old Cumbre volcano began on September 19.

As of the 9th of this month, its eruption of magma has covered more than 480 hectares of land and destroyed more than 1,100 buildings.

La Palma Airport was closed twice.
