The fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity was opened in a short film titled "Xiang" to Yunnan.

The global representatives of the "clouds" gathered together, also by reviewing the journey of the wild Asian elephant family across most of Yunnan, looking forward to the coexistence of man and nature in harmony.

In China, Asian elephants are nationally protected animals. They live in the tropical rain forests of southern Yunnan.

Over the past 30 years, the number of wild Asian elephants in Yunnan has doubled, and now there are more than 300.

In March 2020, more than 10 wild elephants left the nature reserve in Xishuangbanna and began to head north, embarking on an "expedition" road, which triggered "surroundings" all over the world.

The organizers of this conference tried to use this 6 minutes and 30 second short film to let the world relive this "net celebrity" elephant family, which can be called an adventurous and romantic trip.

The short film uses precious lens to record this group of Asian elephants going out of their habitat, from spring to autumn, from winter to summer, after 17 months, 1,300 kilometers, crossing over half of Yunnan and returning to the south.

During the journey, there was an "accident" that a baby elephant was born and two elephants returned home, and there was also a "thrill" that the elephant herd approached Kunming.

Along the way, they are not afraid of difficulties; they are unceremonious, unrestrained, and free when they encounter food; they are naughty and cute, and have a deep affection... These beautiful scenes are the epitome of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

Spanning 1,300 kilometers, more than 10 Asian elephants were safe and sound, and they did not harm a single person.

Because behind this, there are tens of thousands of people guarding all the way.

After the elephant's "Northern Tour", Yunnan quickly established a response headquarters, mobilized a large amount of human and material resources for 24-hour follow-up monitoring, and evacuated residents in advance to ensure the safety of the elephants.
