At the just-concluded 48th session of the UN Human Rights Council, some Western countries carried out groundless accusations and attacks on China on Xinjiang-related issues based on false information and rumors, using "Xinjiang Human Rights" as an excuse to grossly interfere in China's internal affairs.

On the 11th, the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region held a press conference on Xinjiang-related issues in Beijing, inviting representatives of relevant people in Xinjiang to share their personal experiences and refuting the Xinjiang-related fallacies of anti-China forces in the United States and the West.

Xu Guixiang, a spokesperson for the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said at the press conference that the accusations made by the US and Western anti-China forces against the so-called “mass violations of human rights in Xinjiang” are based on untrue sources, partiality, and deliberate framing. There is no factual basis, and it can't stand scrutiny at all.

In response to the U.S. Embassy in China’s social media account in January this year, “The Chinese government continues to suppress Islam in Xinjiang, resulting in the exquisite welcoming plaque with a history of more than 100 years in the Aitigar Mosque no longer exists”, Deputy Xinjiang Islamic Association The chairman, the imam of the Aitigar Mosque in Kashgar, Maimedi Juma, introduced the situation of the plaque on the spot through a video connection.

In the video, this plaque hangs on the outer wall of the main hall of the Aitigar Mosque in Kashgar.

According to Memedi Juma, the plaque was produced and used in 1982.

The scripture content on the plaque was blurred and damaged due to being placed outdoors for a long time and in the sun.

In 2017, in accordance with the requirements of cultural relics protection, the Democratic Management Organization of Aitigar Mosque in Kashgar City organized restoration, redrawn the scriptures, and repainted the plaque on the basis of soliciting opinions from the Islamic circles and believers.

After the restoration, for better protection, the plaque was moved from above the gate of the mosque to the outer wall of the main hall where the canopy was placed.

Is there any "forced labor" in Xinjiang's cotton industry?

Facing the U.S. and Western anti-China forces as an excuse for the existence of "forced labor" in Xinjiang to impose unreasonable sanctions on the cotton industry in Xinjiang, Amar Smail, a cotton farmer in Xinhe County, Aksu Prefecture, introduced the situation of cotton picking in Xinjiang through a video connection.

"Look, this piece of cotton field behind me is mine. This cotton is blooming big and beautiful!" said Amar Smail, mechanized picking has greatly saved costs, with more than 600 acres of cotton. All the cotton fields can be picked in one day.

"I live a happy life on cotton. Now I not only grow cotton, but also raise cattle and sheep." Amar Smail is preparing to set up a cooperative and use his agricultural technology to lead the whole village to increase income and become rich. .

During the press conference, five women representatives from the Hotan region in Xinjiang explained their opinions on the protection of women’s political rights, the protection of women’s reproductive rights, the effective protection of women’s health rights, the protection of women’s rights to education, and the protection of women’s equal employment rights in accordance with the law. Personal experience refutes false statements such as "Xinjiang has seriously violated the rights and interests of ethnic minority women."

Xu Guixiang said that facts have proved that with the continuous strengthening of the protection of women’s rights and interests in Xinjiang, the development environment for women of all ethnic groups has been continuously improved, the level of education has been significantly improved, the awareness of rights protection of marriage, family and property has been significantly increased, and the people’s livelihood and well-being have been steadily improved. The more women actively participate in Xinjiang's economic and social construction, they are indeed "supporting half of the sky."

Xinjiang is the main battlefield of China's fight against terrorism and de-radicalization.

From 1990 to the end of 2016, thousands of violent and terrorist activities occurred in Xinjiang, causing a large number of innocent casualties and property losses.

Before the launch of the press conference, Chinese and foreign media reporters visited Xinjiang's anti-terrorism and de-radicalization struggle theme exhibition.

The lecturer introduced that Xinjiang, through its de-radicalization work, eliminated the soil and conditions that breed terrorism and religious extremism to the greatest extent, and protected the basic rights of citizens from being violated to the greatest extent.

At present, there have been no violent terrorist cases in Xinjiang for more than four consecutive years. The public security situation has improved significantly. The people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang live and work in peace and contentment, and the people's sense of gain, happiness, and security have increased significantly.

"The international community is not deceived by the clichés of a few countries." Xu Guixiang said that at the 48th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Pakistan represented 65 countries and made a joint speech to support China. The six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council collectively sent letters to support China. Position: More than 20 countries have spoken individually to support China, and a total of nearly 100 countries have expressed their understanding and support for China’s Xinjiang-related policy stance in different ways.

These rational voices and just forces are admirable, and they fully demonstrate the backlash of the international community.
