He said that the government's priority is the development of domestic tourism.

“We have launched a national project“ Tourism and the hospitality industry ”: we are preparing master plans for territories, investors can use preferential loans, building new facilities in all corners of our country, and regions can use a set of tools to realize their tourism potential,” Chernyshenko said.

According to him, the government also considers it an important task to create conditions under which "the tourism industry will function, strictly following the principle of safety for citizens."

Among other things, we are talking about the quality of service provision.

“In this regard, I have instructed Rosturizm to develop national standards in the field of tourism safety, which should take into account the best international experience in this area, as well as the peculiarities of the tourism component in the regions of Russia,” he said.

According to Chernyshenko, the deadline for the execution of the order is until the end of October.

"The order, the deadline for which is until the end of October this year, indicates the need to include national standards in the field of tourism in the National Standardization Program for 2022," Chernyshenko said.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the head of Rostourism, on his behalf, is now actively working on security issues in the regions of the North Caucasus, as well as Turkey, where a large tourist flow from Russia traditionally goes.
