10 October 2021 The pre-openings of the Rome Film Fest 2021 will take place from tomorrow, Monday 11 October, until Wednesday 13, with a review of five films that will anticipate the program of the sixteenth edition.

The evening before the start of the Festival (Wednesday 13 October at 9 pm), the Petrassi Room of the Parco della Musica Auditorium will host the public preview of

"I am Santa Claus"

by Edoardo Falcone who in the film directs Marco Giallini and Gigi Proietti, in his latest precious interpretation. Ettore (Giallini) is a former convict with a turbulent and ramshackle life. He has no great prospects other than continuing his career as a robber. This is how he finds himself at the home of Nicola (Proietti), a nice gentleman who has no valuables but has an incredible revelation to make: "I'm Santa Claus!" But will it really be him? "Se dicessimo la vero"

by Francesco Mandelli, a family comedy that tells the story of authorship in an original and ironic key. Matteo and Paola are a couple of young parents: they have three daughters, three dogs and two careers to carry on. Torn between trying to be good parents and pursuing their own professional aspirations, the two protagonists represent Italy today. Entrance by invitation only. From 26 March to 14 April 2021, on the days when the Italian lockdown imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic became more severe, the Ninos Du Brasil band was on tour, stopping every day in a different house.

The performances took place within domestic contexts, in compliance with national directives, and had for public only the people who lived in those houses: 20 shows, 20 days, 20 different houses in the 20 regions of Italy.
