Prince of Monaco praises the efforts of the UAE and the successful launch of "Expo 2020 Dubai"

Prince Albert II of Monaco praised the efforts of the UAE to host Expo 2020 Dubai, the exceptional international event.

Prince Albert II, during a call with him, His Excellency Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, stressed that the UAE is moving steadily towards achieving prosperity in all fields, for the benefit of its citizens and the peoples of the world, praising its hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai. At this important time in order to gather the world around the common goals of mankind.

Prince Albert II congratulated His Excellency Reem Al Hashemi on the success of the opening ceremony of Expo 2020 Dubai and the completion of the first two weeks of its activities, praising the efforts of the UAE to host this exceptional international event.

During the call, Prince Albert II and His Excellency Reem Al Hashemi discussed the UAE's impressive success in hosting the World Expo for the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, and the participation of the Emirate of Monaco in this international event.

The two sides stressed the need for international solidarity and to benefit from the exceptional opportunities offered by Expo 2020 Dubai in order to achieve global development goals and enhance sustainability, thus contributing to building a better and more prosperous future for all peoples of the world.

For her part, Her Excellency Reem Al Hashemi praised the excellence of the Monaco Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and the exhibits it included that embody the tremendous progress reached by the Principality of Monaco.

Her Excellency valued the strong relations between the UAE and the Emirate of Monaco, and the great cooperation that exists between them at various levels.

Earlier, Prince Albert II inaugurated a miniature model of the pavilion in which the emirate is participating in Expo 2020 Dubai, in the Port Hercules area.

The pavilion was provided with a hall equipped with the latest means of communication, to be a window for direct communication between the residents of the emirate and visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai.

For her part, Samira Johar, director of the Monaco Pavilion, said that the cost of the pavilion amounted to about 52 million dirhams, noting that it aims to convey an important environmental message, as the solar panels covering its main facade help generate its energy needs without any pollutants.

The pavilion also provides an overview of the Principality of Monaco, including tourism and various business opportunities.

The suite, which covers a total area of ​​1,700 square meters, consists of two floors, with a total height of 12 meters.

The pavilion in its shape and exterior embodies the Rock of Monaco clad in a group of photovoltaic panels, and is surrounded on the outside by a group of plants, including an olive tree near the entrance, to give an aesthetic touch to the site.

Regarding the number of visitors during the first days of the opening of the pavilion.. Samira Gohar said that the pavilion received more than ten thousand visitors of different ages and nationalities from countries of the world during the first days of the opening, explaining that the pavilion’s exhibits - especially those related to research, technical, environmental and architectural matters - are passionate about And impress all visitors.
