The only way for many Lebanese to charge their mobile phones or have the fridge running right now is through private generators.

Which many can not afford.

They are thus forced to live in darkness now that Lebanon's two largest power plants have been closed indefinitely.

According to Lebanese officials, it could take several days before the power plants can start up again.
