According to a forecast, the social welfare committee in Eskilstuna will go back with SEK 75 million this year.

To save money, there is a proposal with several cuts.

These include the closure of an HVB home, a supportive home and two homes for adults with substance abuse problems.

- We have a plan for how to handle people who already have efforts or who will need it in the future.

If you have a need for care, we will meet it, says Elisabeth Kántor, head of administration.

The proposal entails savings of around SEK 29.5 million per year.

In total, about 35 employees are affected.

According to Elisabeth Kántor, staff will mainly be given other tasks or relocated.

The Social Welfare Committee will take a position on the proposals on Wednesday 13 October.
