As noted in the country's Foreign Ministry, Poland will continue to comply with the laws of the European Union, if their interpretation does not contradict the Constitution of the republic.

“In accordance with Article 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, Poland complies with the norms of international law that bind it.

This means that all obligations arising from the primary and secondary law of the European Union remain in force and will be respected by Poland.

The provisions of the Treaty on the European Union, indicated in the decision of the Constitutional Court of October 7, remain in force.

Only such an interpretation or application of them that violates the Polish Constitution is unacceptable, ”the Foreign Ministry stated.

Earlier, the Secretary of State at the French Foreign Ministry, Clement Bon, said that the decision of the Constitutional Court of Poland, confirming the superiority of the country's Constitution over the laws of the European Union, is "an attack against the EU."

On October 7, the Constitutional Court of the Republic adopted a decision on the supremacy of the Polish Constitution over EU law.
