State Department spokesman Ned Price said Thursday that the United States believes that indirect talks being held in Vienna on returning compliance with the Iran nuclear deal should resume "quickly" because they cannot continue indefinitely.

Price said the diplomatic track was still in place, noting that Tehran had said it would return to talks "soon."

"We hope that their definition of the word 'relative' will match our definition of it," he added. "We would like to resume negotiations in Vienna as soon as possible."
