Shoigu announced the implementation of the plans for the combat training of the Armed Forces for 2021

Shoigu said this at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense.

"The plans for combat training have been fulfilled," the minister said.

Shoigu said that since December 2020, more than 4.5 thousand tactical exercises have been held, including interspecific and bilateral.

According to the minister, in April, during the control check at 101 training grounds and 520 facilities of the training and material base, more than 5 thousand basic training measures and more than 800 bilateral exercises were held. 

Shoigu also recalled that in September a joint strategic exercise Zapad-2021 was held with Belarus.

Shoigu added that from October 1, final and control checks began in the formations, formations and military units.

“The equipping of 89 educational facilities at 56 training grounds is nearing completion, over 1200 units of training equipment have been delivered to the troops,” he said.

Earlier, Shoigu noted that the Zapad-2021 exercise demonstrated the increased training of troops, the ability of the created interspecific groupings of the two states to effectively carry out tasks to ensure regional security.
