  According to a report from the Ministry of Health of Cambodia on the 6th, the country reported 221 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia that day, 443 new cases were cured and discharged, and 13 new deaths were added.

Among the newly confirmed cases, 212 were community-transmitted infections, and 9 were imported confirmed cases.

Up to now, a total of 113,000 cases have been diagnosed nationwide in Cambodia, a total of 105,000 cases have been cured, and a total of 2431 cases have died.

  As the “severely affected area” of the Delta epidemic, the capital Phnom Penh issued the latest announcement stating that in order to effectively control the epidemic, especially the spread of the delta mutant virus, the government requires people to enter and exit educational institutions, state-owned and private markets, convenience stores, and restaurants.   The Phnom Penh City Government stated that educational institutions must present "vaccine cards" when allowing faculty, staff and students to enter the campus; market management committees, restaurant, convenience store, and cafe owners must arrange for employees to check the "vaccine cards" of personnel entering and exiting at the door.

  The Phnom Penh City Government emphasized that if someone refuses to show a "vaccine card", they must be prohibited from entering and report to the authorities at the same time.

If the Market Management Committee and the owners of the catering industry fail to strictly implement the above instructions, they will face the suspension of their business licenses and order closure.

  At the same time, the Phnom Penh City Government decided to close the city's high-risk gathering places for a week (8th to 14th).

Officials pointed out that during this period, meetings or private gatherings of more than 15 people are prohibited in the city, and various religious activities and funerals must be conducted in accordance with relevant departmental regulations.

  Phnom Penh City Government sources pointed out that public and private schools (with online teaching available), karaoke, bars, resorts, museums and theme parks, cinemas, art theaters, gyms and sports centers have been temporarily closed.

In addition to the above-mentioned industries and places, the Phnom Penh City Government will consider suspending other industries and businesses based on actual conditions to curb the spread of the new crown epidemic.
