Members of the National Assembly, Kwak Sang-do, former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il, former Prosecutor General Kim Su-nam, former Cheong Wa Dae senior civil affairs chief Choi Jae-kyung, and high-ranking media outlets Mr. Hong Mo.

Former Special Prosecutor Park was an advisor to Hwacheon Daeyu in 2016, and suspicions of preferential treatment arose when her daughter, who worked for Hwacheon Daeyu, was sold in an apartment in Daejang-dong, which was owned separately by Hwacheon Daeyu.



Former Supreme Court Justice Kwon acted as an advisor to Hwacheon Daeyu without registering as a lawyer, and a controversy arose about violating the Attorney Act.



It was revealed that former President Kim Soo-nam signed a contract to provide legal advice to Hwacheon Daeyu with his law firm in 2019.



However, it is not yet clear what kind of relationship between Choi Jae-kyung and Hong Mo are with Hwacheon Daeyu.



Former Special Prosecutor Park said, "I never promised to receive 5 billion won."



Former President Kim professed to take legal action, saying it is "groundless", and former chief Choi also said, "I never worked as a lawyer, so why would you give me money?"
