A man living in Palaiseau, in the Paris region, was arrested Monday following a search warrant issued following a request from the prosecution of the judicial court of Lyon.

He is suspected of having harassed and threatened with death on several occasions his ex-partner who lives in Villeurbanne (Rhône).

The 46-year-old victim had filed a complaint against him, explaining to the police that he had received a large number of text messages from eight different phone numbers.

He also came to her home on September 10 and 11 to threaten her with death.

Since then, the calls have continued.

The man is to be tried this Wednesday in immediate appearance.
