The work included a review of the journey of the builder of Dubai, based on the poem "Ya Rashid Al-Khair", by poet Mohammed Al-Otaiba, and composed by Fayez Al-Saeed.

Director Nahla Al-Fahd told "Emirates Today" that "work to complete the show took nearly a year, and the selection of the poem took a lot of time, and she was chosen because her words are very expressive of the message that we would like to present about the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed. Al Maktoum.

She explained that "the anniversary of Sheikh Rashid's death coincides with the launch of (Expo 2020 Dubai), and this is an opportunity for us to talk to the world about the builder of Dubai, highlight his tremendous achievements, and recall part of what he gave to Dubai and the UAE, his body has disappeared from us, but his spirit is still among us, and therefore It was important to show people his vision that still inspires us.”

Al-Fahd added: "We chose an old poem by the writer Muhammad Al-Otaiba, dating back to 1990, and composed by Fayez Al-Saeed, and I can say that he presented an impressive melody, carrying many important shifts in music."

She said that she dreams that the song will be a "message of hope", explaining that she feels that "Expo" embodies the dreams of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed.

Al-Fahd revealed that the work team obtained the photos from the photographer Ramesh Shukla, who is the private photographer of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed, pointing out that he owns a large archive of photos.

The Emirati director confirmed that Shukla presented many pictures in photo exhibitions, but this is the first time that she has used pictures to accomplish a work of this kind.

She added that she has accomplished many national works, but this work is a "milestone" in her career, as it "carries the spirit of the nation, and embodies the march of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God rest his soul", explaining that she likes to highlight the history of the Emirates, leaders and the past and how It has developed, noting that "Al-Wasl Square is an opportunity to introduce the world to the founders and eminent personalities in this process, to show the heritage in the right way."

Regarding the techniques in using images, director Amna Belhoul said: “We wanted to keep pace with the times, so we colored the images, each image individually, and it was important to address the new generation, which did not live during the era of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God rest his soul. In a modern and contemporary language, coloring the pictures required a lot of time.”

She added, "We wanted people to see the founder of Dubai the way we see him, and for this we worked carefully on programming the square, which is lit by more than 30,000 lights, and we showed the video on the huge circular dome of Al-Wasl." .

She expressed her happiness in collaborating with Nahla Al-Fahd: “I learned a lot from her career and her experience in presenting national works.” Belhloul saw that she was fortunate to have the global event at this time, and that they had the opportunity to address the world in their language and present their stories, and to present works that express their view of the world. world freely.
