According to the investigation, at the Yubileiny Sports Palace at a backstage concert between the representatives of Igor Talkov and the singer Aziza - Valery Shlyafman and Igor Malakhov, there was a conflict over the sequence of the performance.
During the scuffle, Malakhov was beaten, and Shlyafman, taking possession of his revolver, shot Talkov, who died on the spot.
Shlyafman at the beginning of 1992 moved to Israel for permanent residence, where he is to this day.
He was charged with negligent murder, he was put on the international wanted list.
