- In October, November and December, we experience the peaks.

The animals move during dawn and dusk at the same time as the commuter traffic takes place to and from work, says PA Eriksson, who is responsible for wildlife accidents at the police in Östergötland County.

Sweden has long had recommendations to work from home where possible.

On September 29, the restrictions were changed, which meant that many people drove to and from work again.

This is reflected in the number of wildlife accidents.

- We are experiencing a real increase in the number of wildlife accidents here, says PA Eriksson.

One day at the end of September, a total of 12 wildlife accidents occurred in Östergötland County only between 05:10 and 07:20 in the morning.

In most accidents, it was a collision with deer, but wild boar, deer and elk also occur.
