Tunisian state media said on Tuesday that a military helicopter crashed in Gabes, in the southeast of the country, killing 3 soldiers on board.

The state news agency (WAT) reported, quoting a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, that the accident occurred during a night military training.

It quoted the spokesman as saying that "a military technical committee was sent to the spot to determine the causes of the helicopter crash."

For its part, the state radio Tataouine quoted a medical source as saying that 3 soldiers died after the helicopter crashed in the Ben Ghilouf area of ​​the delegation of Hamma in the Gabes governorate.

The radio indicated that the soldiers were killed by "the fall of a military helicopter during exercises carried out by military units in the aforementioned region."
