A tribal council in eastern Sudan called on the transitional government to dissolve the “committee to dismantle the isolated regime” and reconstitute it from independent competencies, while a member of the committee to dismantle the isolated regime in Sudan said that attempts to obstruct the committee will not succeed.

And in a press release from the Legal Committee of the Supreme Council of Beja Opticals and Independent Verticals;

The council said, "The Empowerment Removal Committee (the Committee to Dismantle the Isolated Regime) must be dissolved and re-formed by independent competencies representing all of Sudan, and its law should be amended to be consistent with the constitutional document."

He added that the committee "has turned into a political tool that targeted the Beja in the justice and civil institutions, even in their peaceful expression of their political opinions."

On the other hand, a member of the committee to dismantle the isolated regime, Wajdi Saleh, said that attempts to obstruct the committee will not succeed, indicating that it will continue its mission, and is able to confront these decisions and through the law.

He added that the decisions of the judicial department contained clear contradictions, and were built on wrong foundations, stressing that the task of dismantling the isolated regime will not stop, and he also warned against the presence of civilians and military personnel against the democratic transition in Sudan.

The competent judicial authorities in Sudan had issued a ruling in which they invalidated previous decisions of the committee tasked with dismantling the isolated regime, which was the dismissal of hundreds of judges and more than 300 public prosecutors in Sudan.

written message

On the other hand, the Rapporteur of the Supreme Council of Beja Opticals, Abu Amna Sidi, said that the council delivered a written letter to a member of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Shams El-Din Kabbashi, containing a response to the points negotiated during the visit of the government delegation to Port Sudan.

The Beja Optical Council and the Independent Amaudiya reiterated that the closure of the ports and roads of eastern Sudan does not include medicines and ambulances, nor the cars and movables of international and international organizations.

The council added - in a statement - that the closure included only the southern port, and the Bashayer oil export port, before it was recently excluded.

The statement indicated that a delegation from the Beja Council visited the ports, and found about 40 containers of medicine, but the government did not carry out customs clearance procedures.

The statement blamed the Sudanese government for any failure to transfer the medicines, noting that what was stated in its statement was untrue and represented a fabricated act of incitement.

national conference

And since last September 17, the Supreme Council of Beja Opticals has closed all ports on the Red Sea and the main road between Khartoum and Port Sudan.

And instead of the "East track" included in the Juba Peace Agreement, the council calls for the establishment of a national conference on eastern issues, resulting in the approval of development projects, amid government attempts to reach a solution to the crisis.

On December 10, 2019, the head of the Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision to form the “Committee to Eliminate Empowerment and Fight Corruption”, to end the control of symbols of the regime of ousted President Omar al-Bashir over the joints of the state, fight corruption, and recover the looted funds, but opponents see it as a committee Political formed for the purpose of revenge against the symbols of the former regime.

Since August 21, 2019, Sudan has been living a 53-month transitional period that ends with holding elections in early 2024, during which power is shared by the army and civilian forces.
