All parliamentary parties have presented their shadow budgets.

The Moderates and the Sweden Democrats now want to agree with the Christian Democrats and the Liberals to stop several of the government's budget investments and seek support in the Riksdag for a counter-alternative.

-There are major problems that the government's budget does not solve, let us take a first step to get Sweden in order by talking to the Christian Democrats, Liberals and Sweden Democrats about what we can do, says the Moderates' economic-political spokesperson Elisabeth Svantesson in Aktuellt.

The Moderates and the Sweden Democrats do not agree on, for example, the pensions and benefits in the sickness benefit and the unemployment insurance fund, but Elisabeth Svantesson believes that there are good conditions for the parties to agree on several other issues.

- My goal is of course that it should be a budget that is an alternative to the government's budget and that can make a difference for Sweden, which strengthens the judiciary and police and ensures that more people who are outside the labor market enter, says Elisabeth Svantesson.

"A process that begins now"

Oscar Sjöstedt, economic-political spokesperson for the Sweden Democrats, is also hopeful that it will be possible to agree with the Moderates on a counter-alternative.

- I think we have pretty good opportunities, but I do not dare to answer the extent today, he says in Aktuellt.

- We have not even started negotiations, it is the process that begins now.

We have no need to agree on every detail, we are not the basis of government but the opposition.

It is more reasonable to start where we completely agree and continue where we are close to each other, he says about mentioning fuel taxes and the question of the conditions for saving in ISK.

That you present this direction of will together, should it be seen as your collaboration now taking a new step?

- You can do that if you want.

I feel that we have good dialogue and good contacts, says Oscar Sjöstedt.

Elisabeth Svantesson states that this is not about a new alliance.

- What we want to do is now gather the opposition parties that want a different government and a different direction.

This is a first step, she says.
