05 October 2021 Roberto Jonghi Lavarini, also known as the "black baron", and Carlo Fidanza, are under investigation for the hypothesis of illicit financing and money laundering in the Milanese investigation resulting from the Fanpage journalistic investigation into the election campaign of the Brothers of Italy, of which Jonghi Lavarini is not an exponent.

It is learned from investigative sources.

Today the Economic-Financial Police unit of the Guardia di Finanza, delegated by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, searched Roberto Jonghi Lavarini's home.

The exponent of the radical right is at the center of a journalistic investigation carried out by Fanpage on the links of the right with Nazi and criminal circles and on alleged black funds to finance the Milan election campaign of the candidate Chiara Valcepina of Fratelli d'Italia.

On the basis of what emerged from the first episode of the video-investigation, the prosecutors opened an investigation file with the hypothesis of illicit financing and money laundering offenses.

However, Chiara Valcepina, Fdi candidate in the municipal elections and then elected municipal councilor in Palazzo Marino as third on the list with 903 votes, which appeared in the videos released by Fanpage, is not investigated.

Fidanza: "Available to the prosecutor to clarify as soon as possible"

'' I learned a little while ago from the press that I had been entered in the register of suspects following the Fanpage investigation.

At the moment I have not received any official communication.

I am calm and obviously at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office to clarify every aspect of this matter as soon as possible ''.

MEP Carlo Fidanza says this in a note, commenting on the news that he sees him unchanged for illicit financing.
