In Sörmland there are two established wolf territories and in a short time there have been three attacks.

- Sjundarereviret is large with many individuals.

It is a problem there, but there are also so many individuals that the puppies will soon move away from home and spread more across Sörmland, says Karin Ericson.

"Fence allowance is not enough"

There are steps you can take as a sheep farmer to protect your animals such as having predator fencing.

- You can apply for a grant to fence in your pastures, but the grant is SEK 50 per meter and does not cover the expenses, says predator responsible for Sörmland's sheep breeding association, Eva Henriksson.

Even though the pastures are fenced with predator fencing, there is still a concern, says Karin Ericson.

- When we have problem individuals of wolves who have learned to take domestic animals, which is the situation we have in Sörmland now, then we must be able to use protection hunting, she says.
