BelTA informs that this is how Lukashenka reacted to the words of a member of the Constitutional Commission Vladimir Basko.

“After you leave the presidency, I would very much like, and I personally ask you about this, to try to remain in the role of the guarantor of the independence of our state, peace and tranquility in our country,” Basko said.

Lukashenka replied that he was not going to leave the country.

“I will immediately answer the question so that you don’t have any crazy thoughts: I have never run from anywhere and will not run away!” He replied.

On September 28, Lukashenka gave a month to finalize the draft of the new Constitution of the country.

He also announced the existence of a version of the new draft of the basic law of the republic.

Lukashenko noted that it is necessary to give the All-Belarusian People's Assembly the right to amend the Constitution.
