Angelica fell ill when she was 17 and her lungs got worse and worse.
In 2017, she underwent a lung transplant for the first time.
Everything went well and she started exercising and slowly came back to a normal life.
But in 2021 she became ill again and now she is waiting to get a new lung transplant.
- Everything went so fast, this summer I got a chronic rejection and that means that my lungs slowly but surely get worse until you either get a new transplant or until you die, says Angelica Öberg.
Hope to be able to fend for themselves
She says that a transplant is always an ongoing treatment and she does not expect to be completely healthy.
- But I hope to be able to choose where I want to be and what I want to do.
And to be able to manage on my own, she says.
