WP: US Sputnik V may be denied entry

Jeffrey Zientes, White House COVID-19 Coordinator, said the United States would lift travel restrictions for foreign tourists if two conditions are met: be fully vaccinated and pass a COVID-19 PCR test within three days of entry.

It is noted that full vaccination should be performed with vaccines recognized in the United States or in the WHO.

Sputnik V has not yet been approved by them.

According to RBC, the new rules may close the entry into the United States and citizens vaccinated with other vaccines that have not received the approval of WHO or US regulators.

Among them is the Indian drug Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech.

Earlier it was reported that the United States would ease requirements for fully vaccinated tourists from November 2021.
