One more reason for concern for
the rival Instagram
which, as with all social media, must increase the base of young users, vital for survival.
The growth of TikTok, the short video app of the Chinese company ByteDance, widely used by the very young that in one year had a 45% jump in the number of monthly active users, shows that Generation Z (following Millennials), is more interested in entertainment than social networks.
The popularity of TokTok is such that days ago the Chinese version of the app, Douyin, announced that it will limit the use of the platform to children under the age of 14, to a maximum of 40 minutes per day.
