"The jury found R Kelly guilty on all counts," according to a Twitter account from the Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
The website of the US Department of Justice notes that the singer was accused of extortion, human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, as well as sexual abuse of a child.
The lawsuit against the performer, filed by the federal attorney's office in New York, has 13 counts.
According to attorney R Kelly, the decision will be appealed.
