According to TASS, the text of the president's telegram to the guests of the festive concert on the occasion of the date celebrated on September 28 was read by the general director of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.
According to Putin, “today nuclear technologies provide fundamentally new opportunities for strengthening the Russian energy sector and introducing breakthrough solutions in the medical field,” for developing unique materials, conquering space and further economic development of the Arctic territories of the Northern Sea Route.
“I am sure that you will continue to achieve your goals, preserve and creatively develop the legacy of your predecessors, build up the personnel, research and production potential of the industry in every possible way, actively participate in international cooperation, implementing effective and environmentally friendly projects,” the President's message says.
In August, it was reported that Putin had discussed with Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev the development of a domestic nuclear weapons complex.
