With this bill, Noël Tshiani Muadiamvita had proposed in particular

to reserve the post of President of the Republic to only Congolese

of father and mother.

He went through a national deputy to have his initiative included in the debates of Parliament.

But the National Assembly estimated that the question would not be included in the parliamentary sessions.

The unfortunate candidate for the last presidential election planned to go to the People's Palace on Tuesday for the final adjustments in order to register this bill.

But the study office of the lower house declared the draft text inadmissible.

According to jurists, the process involves reviewing the Constitution and introducing articles deemed discriminatory.

While traveling to the United States, the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, affirmed that the recent history of the country shows that being Congolese from father to mother is not an argument to serve the country.
