The International Government Communication Forum 2021 discussed the cyber-pandemic that has accompanied the (Covid-19) pandemic, and the techniques proven by human behavior science to influence the awareness and practice of the public, as well as the ways and means by which to reach the "Generation Z".

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, witnessed the launch of the activities of the second day of the tenth session of the International Forum for Government Communication 2021, organized by the International Center for Government Communication of the Sharjah Government Media Office at the Expo Center Sharjah, under the slogan Lessons from the past, aspirations for the future.

The activities of the second day opened with a speech by the Director of the Media Office of the Government of Sharjah, Alia Al Suwaidi, in which she confirmed that the International Forum for Government Communication is witnessing a qualitative leap year after year in introducing and discussing the culture of government communication and its mechanisms, as well as providing all that is necessary and useful to official and private institutions and bodies in the country and abroad. Noting that the Forum, in its tenth special session, maintained its development, commitment to its mission, and awareness of local, regional and international changes.

Al-Suwaidi said, “It is not normal or easy for the individual to be in a position of media responsibility, because in essence it is a responsibility towards the truth and society and his natural right to knowledge, knowledge and partnership. ».

In an interactive speech entitled “Cybersecurity”, the head of cyber security for the UAE government, Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, confirmed that the country has kept pace with various developments in the means of communication, beginning with primitive methods, reaching today to the smart government, and relying entirely on artificial intelligence techniques, and said that “our leadership Headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his brothers the rulers of the Emirates, they have developed a methodology and strategy through the issuance of the Cyber ​​Security Council, along with cyber security centers in each emirate, coordinating with each other to prevent and deter any threat that could affect Any of the state’s economic, political, and other sectors.”

He added that "the cyber pandemic, which has also accompanied at the present time the (Covid-19) pandemic, has contributed to the adoption of modern technology by all state institutions in the public and private sectors, in their operations, and perhaps at times this technology was used improperly, which may cause some problems. Threats that may affect the state or its civil institutions and others, so it was necessary to strengthen government communication tools, to find out everything that would affect the state’s reputation, and we work together to spread the culture of cybersecurity, to become a societal culture, so that everyone contributes to achieving our goals in this The field, as the responsibility does not fall on the shoulders of an institution or an entity, but rather a collective responsibility.”

Timothy Armo, founder and CEO of Fanbytes, the agency specialized in generation Z, gave an interactive speech under the title “New Platforms.. He explained that influencing this generation and communicating different messages to it, specifically government messages, is through three main and influential ways, represented by telling the story, the narrative style is the most effective and effective, and secondly, to live the cultural moment in the content that institutions provide on social media platforms, which is the matter Which can contribute to reaching the interests of the target group, and third, that the enterprise platform is similar to interesting and interesting TV shows, and not only focus on the product or the idea itself.

The Lebanese writer and director, Remy Akl, presented the forum's audience with an interactive presentation that mixed visual effects, singing and rhetorical expression to answer the central question that made it the focus of her participation: Where do I bring my strength? And she answered this question that she derives her strength from her experiences, her family and those around her, from every letter in the phrases that are said to her to drive her to despair, and from the dialogues that make her wonder whether she was wrong in her choices, and from some questioning the usefulness of art. She saw that one could also draw strength from the mistakes one makes, from delays, disappointments, times and weaknesses, and then continue to strive for self-realization.

The Egyptian content creator, Ahmed Al-Ghandour, known as “Al-Daheeh”, took the audience on a historical journey to answer the question: Does the truth matter to societies, or the mechanisms and methods of presenting it?

During a speech titled "Truth in Communication", Al-Ghandour revealed the techniques proven by the science of human behavior to influence the awareness and practice of the public, providing scientific evidence for the importance of innovation in the content industry, and the power of the story in influencing public opinion.

Al-Ghandour said, “People usually do not care about the truth or the correct information, as much as they are interested in how to obtain it,” citing examples of famous stories that are widely spread among people, although they are incorrect, such as the stories “Newton’s apple” and “Marie Antoinette biscuits.” .
