The battle over cheese production in Boxholm continues.

At the same time as the legal dispute with Arla is ongoing, Glada Bonden has planned to release new products during the autumn.

The cheeses will be launched on Tuesday, with names that are provocatively close to Arlas.

At the time of writing, Glada Bonden does not want to confirm the name:

- I do not want to deny or confirm the name.

We will release it tomorrow, says Glada Bonden's chairman Anders Birgersson

How do you think Arla reacts?

- We shall see.

Prepared for battle

SVT Nyheter Öst has seen pictures of the new cheeses with the name "Äkta Boxolms" printed on the goods.

The names of the different cheese varieties are also close to the brands used by Arla.

We have also received information where it is revealed that those involved are very well aware that the name is close to Arlas, and is in direct conflict with trademark protection, and expect a reaction from the latter company.

When we call Arla, the press manager, Erik Bratthall, says that they do not know the new name.

- I do not want to comment on this type of launch.

Everyone really knows what trademark protection products have.

"Up to Arla"

The Patent and Registration Office says that they cannot comment on how a possible dispute would end.

Arla has today registered Boxholm in connection with cheese.

- We are not a supervisory authority.

We look at whether the application meets basic requirements and also whether there are other confusing rights when a trademark application is made.

In this case, it will be up to Arla how they choose to do.

My experience is that in nine cases out of ten, a warning letter is usually sent out first, says Martin Ingesson, departmental lawyer at the Patent and Registration Office.

If the case goes to court, with a possible infringement action, it is tried by the Patent and Market Court.
