Hamdan bin Zayed briefed on the humanitarian initiatives of the Red Crescent for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, head of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, made a phone call to the head of the authority's delegation, Sultan Al Darmaki, who is currently in Cox's Bazar, to inaugurate the second phase of service projects implemented by the Authority for the benefit of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, and to follow up on the progress of work. In a number of other ongoing development projects implemented by the Commission to improve the lives of refugees and enhance their ability to face difficult refugee conditions, in addition to supervising the provision of more relief and humanitarian assistance to refugees.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was briefed on the authority's initiatives in the humanitarian fields in Bangladesh and the efforts made to enhance the authority's response to the situation there. His Highness was briefed on the progress of work on a number of projects that will be opened in the future within the third phase for the benefit of refugees.
His Highness directed to provide more needs for the Rohingya refugees in the Bangladeshi camps, to see their conditions and provide them with the necessary support in their current circumstances.
A delegation from the Red Crescent recently arrived in Cox's Bazar to inaugurate a number of shelter, water and sanitation projects, enhance capacities and provide more relief aid to refugees.
