The Russian diplomatic mission noted that Botan-Kharchenko and Defense Attaché Major General Aleksandr Zinchenko, together with Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsha Stefanovic and Chief of the General Staff Milan Moisilovich, inspected the Serbian military stationed close to the administrative line.

"During the trip, it was noted that the Serbian side is behaving extremely responsibly and with restraint, consistently implementing a set of measures approved by the country's National Security Council chaired by President Alexander Vucic," TASS quoted the statement of the Russian Embassy in Serbia.

On September 24, NATO called on Belgrade and Pristina to begin an immediate de-escalation and dialogue on North Kosovo.

Vucic said that the Serbian side is demanding the immediate withdrawal from the administrative line between Kosovo and Metohija and Central Serbia of all units of the Kosovo police special forces.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow considers the actions of the Kosovo police in the north of Kosovo as a provocation aimed at squeezing the Serbs out of the territory of the region.
