Palestinian medical sources said that the Israeli occupation forces killed at least 5 Palestinians during incursions into the villages of Ramallah and Jenin in the West Bank, today, Sunday.

These sources stated that 3 young men were killed by the occupation forces' fire in the area of ​​the villages of Bedu and Beit Anan, southwest of Ramallah, and two other Palestinians were martyred in the village of Burqin, south of Jenin.

On the other hand, Israeli security sources said that an officer and a soldier were seriously wounded during clashes between special forces and Palestinians in Jenin and Ramallah.

The officer and the soldier belong to the Dovdovan unit of the "undercover" special forces.

Israeli sources stated that Palestinian gunmen confronted its forces while they were tracking wanted men.

As for the Prime Minister's spokesman, he said that the military operation in Jenin and Ramallah targeted members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) who were preparing to carry out attacks.

The occupation army announced its withdrawal from the areas it incurred after carrying out arrests.

For its part, Hamas called for an escalation of resistance against the occupation, and stressed that the blood of the five martyrs in the West Bank will not be in vain.
