26 September 2021 In the next few hours, a delegation from the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the death of Giulio Regeni will be on a mission to Cambridge. As the Commission itself informs, the delegation, which will include President Erasmo Palazzotto, will travel to the English city to hold the hearings of some representatives of the University of Cambridge on the spot.

"As part of the Commission's investigation activities aimed at ascertaining the truth about Giulio Regeni's death, the Bureau considered the aforementioned hearings to be of absolute importance", the Commission specifies.

Regeni, still a minor, had moved for study purposes first to America, and then to Oxford and Cambridge, where he had undertaken a PhD that led him to move to Egypt to carry out an investigation into independent Egyptian trade unions.

Here, he attended the American University of Cairo and wrote articles under the pseudonym of Antonio Drius.
